(Continued on from previous post - sorry for the delay)
While Tsukito practiced with his sword up the back, Azrael decided to uh…get his shirt off. It had become slightly overcast but by the time I was ready to take the second photo the sun came out and I was nearly blinded by him (white resin huh?) I’m pretty happy with the last photo - his head snapped into that position by itself. It’s not the first time he’s spontaneously snapped into a position for me…sadly I don’t have photos of the first couple of times he did that…
The lovely weather has been enjoyed not only by me and my mum (woo garden stuff!), but by my resin babies as well. Tsukito got a new sword and couldn’t wait to try it out!
I couldn’t resist taking photos of these three all together after putting Valeriana back together. Azrael’s now happy that she’s back, and she also gets along with Tsukito very well (cheeky little buggers).
So I’ve not posted any photos of this little girl for a while - that’s because I decided to blush her in the middle of winter and dear gods did that take forever…>.< But anyway, Valeriana is finished now and I’m super happy with her. For only my second blushing job (and my first face up) I’m pretty stoked with the way she came out. She looks much more fierce and mature now! I may need to do something to her wig to get it to sit around her horns a little better…
There are several songs I played on high rotation in the second half of last year. These songs played at midnight, when I was too awake to go to bed, but too tired to do anything else. I would turn off all the lights in my room save for the desk lamp, which I had angled up into the space under my shelf to create a nice back-glow. When I first moved into that room, I hated the brown colour of the bricks. Half way through the year I realised just how much I actually loved that colour.
The darkness of that room with only the desk lamp on was wonderful. I wish I could recreate it. I want so badly to go back to that room. It holds some painful memories, but at the same time, it was a sanctuary. I could sit at my window and look out at the cars below and watch the frost creep over them. Stare into the darkness of the forest behind and wish that I could walk in their alone without fear of freezing my arse off in the process.
These songs keep playing. I want to go back there, this time with a clearer head and a task to do. I feel so isolated here.
Salmarnir got a haircut, now I can see his pretty face and his gorgeous eyes! I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out - I think I would have cried if I butchered this wig by accident.

Tsukito got this as a little gift from one of the ladies at the last doll meet I went to - he’s as fascinated by it as he is frustrated. It’s nice to see something keeping him out of trouble while I’m away at uni…
Imbolc altar 2014. Ivy and violets with herbal tea and crow feathers. Citrine, sunstone, onyx, quartz, calcite, rutilated citrine, and potch opal. Brigidine cross and bone.
It snowed last Friday! It only lasted about an hour but it was seriously the coolest thing ever. (Please take my word for it, I’m an Aussie, snow doesn’t occur all that often around here).
